In this article, I’m going to show you how to make money using YouTube by creating a ClickFunnels squeeze page. This isn’t about just making money by creating videos and getting ads placed on them. That’s a great way to make some money, but it’s not going to get you to six figures unless you’re Mr. Beast or somebody like that who’s big in the entertainment industry.
This is for those of you who are using YouTube for your business or for something you have a passion for and that you like to share. Or, maybe you have some products that you would like to sell or some other things that you’ve created. You might even have templates or lists that you’ve created or maybe a course that you’re interested in promoting. Perhaps you’re an artist and want to offer others a course and make a little bit of money or even a lot.
Introducing Squeeze Pages
I’m going to show you how to do that using YouTube. Now, this is bigger than just saying you can make money because I’m going to tell you exactly how to do it and explain all the parts.
Basically, what I’m going to show you is how to build what we call a squeeze page. And I’m going to use ClickFunnels to do it because that’s the software tool that I use. Those of you who have never created a sales funnel before, won’t already know what this is.
In the near future, I’ll be explaining more about all the different ways that you can use ClickFunnels but for this exercise, I’ll be showing you how to create a squeeze page. We’ll also discuss how you can use this to collect emails.
What Is A Squeeze Page
Before we go any further, let me explain what a squeeze page is. A squeeze page is simply a one-page advertisement that has some kind of offer for the person who lands on it. Generally, something is offered for free in return for the person’s email. Sometimes, this can also be referred to as an opt-in page or even a landing page.
I prefer to use the term squeeze page because, basically, I’m squeezing your email address from you. Once you enter your email address, you’ll be sent the free offer. It could be a list of something or even a cookbook in PDF format that you can download.
If you’re interested in finding out about the top 8 high-converting offers to use on a squeeze page, you can check out a video I created here. This will give you some more ideas on what you can offer people for free to get their email addresses.
What Happens To The Emails That You’re Collecting?
Once you’ve collected some email addresses, you’ll want to know where they go and what you should do with them. The email addresses that you collect will go through ClickFunnels which is a software tool that will automatically collect the person’s email and send them the free product. Let me explain.
When Clickfunnels receives an email address, it gets sent straight to an autoresponder. An autoresponder is an email service for businesses. The one I use is called Active Campaign. Another one you might have heard of is MailChimp.
One important word of advice here is that you should never have those collected emails sent to your personal Gmail or Yahoo account. It’s far wiser to invest in your business and spend a few dollars each month on an autoresponder account. Otherwise, you’ll find that you will get shut down and lose all those email addresses. In fact, I created an entire course about email marketing that you can get for free. Here’s the link if you want to download it.
What Do You Do With The Emails Once You’ve Collected Them?
Once the emails have been sent from ClickFunnels into my autoresponder, I can sort them into lists. I can then add tags for the various products that I have. For example, a tag might be “free exercises” or “how to eat healthy”. These tags help to separate my subscribers into groups according to their interests.
When you’ve separated your subscribers into different groups, you can start to send them emails that relate to their topic of interest.
Just a note as to why I do this. It’s a good way to safeguard my business and leverage several different income streams. You see, YouTube may not be around forever or it might be, but you have absolutely no control over this. By creating a list of your subscribers, you have control over your business and your future income. This is exactly how YouTubers make those six figures that you hear them talking about.
If you want to delve a little deeper, I created a video all about landing pages that you can see here.
Some Examples Of Squeeze Pages
Remember how I said that I had a free email marketing course? Well, here is what the squeeze page and follow-up page look like.

This was very easy to create using ClickFunnels. Once you enter your email address, you’ll get access to the free course. It even asks you to enter your email address again, so this can be sent to the relevant list. And finally, you’re sent to a thank you page.
Here’s another example of a squeeze page. This one is for a free download of a YouTube channel launch checklist.

Here are some other examples:

Then, there’s also this one for ClickFunnels:

And another one for a podcasting course:

You Can Use Any Type Of Product On A Squeeze Page
By now, I think you’ve got the idea. Almost any type of product can be offered for free in order to collect email subscribers.
This means that you simply have to create something that you can give away for free. It could be an ebook or maybe a list. If you watch the video about the 8 high-converting ideas, you’ll see that I talk about having these things created by someone on Upwork. This is a platform where you can find a vast range of different freelancers who you can pay to create something for you.
This is especially useful if you don’t have the time to do it yourself or you’re not overly creative or confident that you can create something like an ebook.
The most important thing is not to overthink it. Just take it one step at a time and then, just keep refining the process as you go. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be happy to answer them for you.
If you’re ready to get started, here’s the link for ClickFunnels and also a link to Upwork to help you get started quickly and easily.
