4 Proven Ways To Share Affiliate Marketing Links

In this article, we’re going to talk about four proven ways to share your affiliate marketing links. If you’ve started your affiliate marketing business and you’re just not getting the sales that you would like then maybe the problem is you’re just not sharing your links enough or in different places.

Therefore, we’re going to look at some different ways that you can share your links. Remember we don’t share our links directly in a Facebook group. That’s called spamming and is illegal.

1. Sharing Affiliate Marketing Links On Social Media

You can share your links on social media and I’m going to show you how with a general overview. Then you can dig in deeper if you find something that resonates with you.

YouTube Videos

Number one for me is YouTube. First, I create a YouTube video. Then in my description I share the link to whatever product I’m talking about in the video. If people click on the link and make a purchase, I get a commission.

Comparison Posts

Now, maybe you don’t want to create a YouTube channel or make videos. Instead, you could write comparison posts on your blog or website.

For example, you could compare HootSuite with Loomly in a blog post. In that blog post you would share the link to Loomly and say, “Hey, this is the one that I like to use. Here’s the link”.

However, you could become an affiliate for both products and share the link to both of them. This way you get a 50/50 chance of receiving a commission.

Sharing Tips On Instagram

Top Internet Marketer, Neil Patel, has a lot of neat ideas for sharing content. He has a YouTube channel and he’s also on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter. However, his primary promotional method is using websites.

For example, on Instagram he would use a tag like, “how to write a killer headline”. When you click on that, it opens up and you see just one or two valuable tips. People who read these tips will perceive them as being of value and will wonder who he is. Therefore, they’ll look him up.

In the profile of your Instagram account, you can have a link to your YouTube channel or website that people can click on to learn more about you and what you do.

Therefore, every time you post something valuable, you’re promoting yourself and what you do. This will encourage people to follow you because they want to know what else you have to share. And, most social media platforms work the same way.

So, instead of sharing your affiliate links on social media, share the link to your website. Then, on your website, you have your affiliate links within your blog posts.

2. Add-Ons

On your website, you might have a page called ‘resources’. These can include tools that you use for your own business and that you are affiliated with.

Maybe your website is about camping. On your ‘resources’ page you would list and link to all the tools and the equipment that you like to use. We call these add-ons.

Therefore, you can direct interested people to this page so they can find everything they need all in the one place.

You could also have a list of tools that you use in your ‘lead magnet’. This could be a free ebook that you’re giving away to people who subscribe to your newsletter. Or, you could even add links into a course that you’ve created.

Of course, you can also share your links with your email list. You want to share information and tips with your subscribers and then drop in an affiliate every now and then.

Basically, as an affiliate marketer, you’re creating valuable content and then adding your affiliate links into that content.

3. Take Advantage Of Special Sales Events Or Seasonal Promotions

Think about the timing when you’re creating videos or blog posts. Are there special events coming up that you can tap into? Think, Black Friday sales, Christmas, Mother’s or Father’s Day or even Valentine’s Day.

Try to think outside the box when you’re creating this type of promotional content. You could write a post titled ‘10 Best Gifts For Fathers Who Like To Fish’ or ‘Top 9 Black Friday Deals For Affiliate Marketers’.

It’s also a good idea to share your Amazon affiliate links during gift giving times. Although Amazon commissions aren’t huge, their cookies last for 24 hours. Therefore, whenever someone clicks on one of your Amazon affiliate links and purchases anything at all, you’ll get a commission. This is great during holiday times because people are shopping for gifts for their family and friends anyway.

Remember though, to stay within your niche when you’re promoting products on Amazon.

4. Watch Trends

Following current trends can make your content more timely and encourage people to click on your links. For example, if you’re promoting affiliate marketing, you might consider the time of year that people would book a trip to Europe. This doesn’t sound compatible at first, but think about it.

You could write a post or create a video on how to create an income as an affiliate marketer that allows you to travel whenever you want. So, you could talk about the travel lifestyle of a full time online marketer.

Therefore, schedule some time every week to do some research on current trends. What are people talking about and how could you tie this into your business?

I hope this information has been helpful to you. Hopefully, you found at least one way that you weren’t using and that is going to help you in your business. That’s how your business will grow. Using just one new tip every day and building on that.
